Preview of MANP Nonprofit Dues 2026-2028
We believe in the power of networks: by bringing people, ideas and resources together we will collectively be more strategic, creative, and courageous.
To ensure MANP can continue to offer exceptional member value, increase access to membership, provide responsive programs and services, and grow this network in alignment with our values and equity commitment, MANP’s board and staff team have adopted changes to our membership dues and Advocacy Network pricing structures, which will go into effect starting January 1, 2026.
Dues Preview
These changes, the first adjustment to dues since 2019, simplify our nonprofit dues structure and prioritize equity so that a wide range of organizations can access this powerful network and take advantage of the benefits most relevant to them.
We are very proud to share that in this new model, approximately half of our membership will see a reduced rate or no change!

Member Voice: "MANP provides excellent service to our organization and really takes a load off our shoulders in a variety of different ways. The money we spend on annual dues is money very well spent and we consider MANP a vital partner in our ability to advance our mission and implement our programs."
Expanded Value
Over the past six years we have mobilized advocacy coalitions, developed new programs, and piloted new services to deepen and expand member value and help our network navigate the pandemic, inflation, and a volatile politic environment. Some highlights include:
- Saving nonprofits money: In 2024, after more than a decade of advocacy, Maine passed a blanket sales tax exemption that Maine Revenue Services estimates could save over 5,000 nonprofits approximately $10 million annually!
- Extending access: Over the past 6 years, MANP has provided more than $175,000 in scholarships and dues discounts to remove barriers to accessing membership and trainings.
- Cross-pollinating ideas: MANP Connects, launched in April 2020, has become a consistent space to gather and learn with peers and partners at the forefront of the opportunities and challenges facing Maine nonprofits and communities. This program remains free and invites all to participate in this network.
- Weaving connections: We designed new, free tools to weave connections across our network, including Board Explorer, which connects member organizations with individuals interested in board service, and a Shared Workspace Finder, to help organizations pursue office-sharing arrangements to increase operational efficiencies and spark collaboration.
- Personalizing support: During the pandemic, we created a rapid response network to link members with people who could help them tap into complicated government relief programs. Post-pandemic, to complement our ongoing "member help desk" service, we developed Sounding Board to provide free spot coaching to help members address strategic challenges.
- Supporting nonprofit employers and our workforce: We launched a snazzy new job board with many more bells and whistles, and published updated research on nonprofit wages and benefits in Maine, with a focus on paying a living wage.
- Leveraging national resources: Through our partnerships with nonprofit associations in other states we have expanded and enriched our webinar offerings, bringing expertise from all over the country to Maine. Alongside our partners at National Council of Nonprofits we have been (and will continue to be) a resource for timely, reliable information and tools to navigate the administrative, compliance, and funding challenges presented by President Trump's Executive Actions, and other federal policy changes.
Member Voice: "MANP is an excellent voice for the organizations in our state in a way that we often need and don't have the capacity to fulfill. MANP also provides invaluable and affordable networking and professional development opportunities that might be cost prohibitive, unknown, or otherwise inaccessible to Maine organizations."
What's Next?
Now, at this pivotal moment in our world, we are grounding in our purpose to strengthen the leadership, voice, and organizational effectiveness of nonprofits in Maine so they can adapt, thrive, and contribute to our communities when those communities need us most.
Moving forward, MANP will continue to build the capacity, connections, and cross-sector influence of our network as we work toward a vision of Maine where:
- Individuals seek out nonprofits as rewarding and sustainable career paths.
- Partners invest in the true costs of sustainable, collaborative, innovative mission-driven work.
- Nonprofits are purpose-driven and accountable to their communities; have equitable access to networks and resources; prioritize belonging, learning and leadership development; and are leaders in developing new models for advancing the public good.
- Communities recognize the contributions of nonprofits to Maine’s economy and quality of life.
Member Voice: "MANP gives our organization a lift and resources to better realize our goals, fulfill our mission, and continuously evolve as a viable nonprofit in it for the long term. MANP helps us look around the nonprofit landscape, and makes it easy for us to learn from others, and work more effectively."
