Questions About Charitable Gaming (Raffles, etc.)?
Many nonprofits explore raffles as one avenue to raise money for their missions. This can be a fun and engaging strategy, but it is essential to understand the legal requirements related to charitable gaming.
The Gambling Control Unit within the Department of Public Safety is hosting Town Hall Meetings this month to provide eligible organizations with the opportunity to get updates on charitable gaming laws, rules and resources available to make your events both productive and profitable for your organizations.
Meetings will take place in person around the state, and will include a short presentation and open discussion so that Gambling Control staff will be able to answer any questions regarding best practices, gaming operations and compliance.
