Measuring What Matters: Strengthening Your Nonprofit’s Impact Evaluation

Thursday, August 21, 2025
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (EDT)

Event Details

This event is offered in partnership with the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN).

Nonprofits use impact evaluation to make their case externally and improve internally. For these reasons, impact evaluation is a mission-critical activity. Throughout this presentation, we dispel common misperceptions about evaluation and share examples and actions to help even the smallest nonprofits begin to evaluate their impact, make their case, and improve their work along the way. If you are ready to take a step back and review your organization’s evaluation processes, or get advice about how to start evaluating and communicating program impact, this session is right for you.

In this workshop participants will:

  • Explore the purposes and benefits of conducting evaluations of their efforts, including internal improvement and external casemaking
  • Understand the purpose and benefits of outcome statements and indicators
  • Understand how a typical logic model or theory of change organizes a story of impact
  • Assess their organization’s current impact evaluation processes
  • Identify areas to strengthen in any size organization
