Nonprofit leaders and fundraisers often ask how to know if they’re ready for a special campaign—whether for facilities, endowment, or other special needs.

This presentation will provide a framework for answering the question—and to address any gaps. We will walk you through a method of self-assessment that’s based on key indicators of campaign success that we have observed in our decades of experience and research.

These indicators reach across your organization: the Board and other volunteer leadership; the organizational leadership; your prospect list; your fundraising operation; your image in the community; and, crucially, how relevant, urgent, and compelling your plans and preliminary case are. Organizations that have done the work in all of these areas are better positioned to succeed in a campaign.
