Strengthening Partnerships: A Conversation with Maine DHHS on Contracting
Zoom
Event Details
Do you provide services through contract(s) with the Maine Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS)? If so, join us for this informative online discussion about procurement and contract management with Maine DHHS staff. Deputy Commissioners Todd Haber and Molly Bogart will be joined by Jim Lopatosky, Director of the DHHS Division of Contract Management, to answer questions from the field.
This virtual event is part of our work to improve partnerships between nonprofits and federal, state, and local governments. We are designing this session to give DHHS staff an opportunity to answer your questions related to topics such as:
- The “what” and “why” of processes and practices behind the State’s contractual relationships with nonprofits;
- The work they are doing to address long-standing issues such as delayed contract encumbrances, invoice complexity, and delayed payments; and
- How to improve communication around decisions that impact providers and those they serve.
Questions should be submitted ahead of time to MANP and will be facilitated by MANP Executive Director Jennifer Hutchins to ensure the short time is maximized.
Note: This is not a technical assistance session where questions about individual contracts, grants, or RFPs can be answered.
