May's MANP Connects will focus on the impact of technology and AI in the nonprofit sector. As nonprofits continue to navigate evolving challenges, technology offers new opportunities to increase efficiency, enhance operations, and build capacity. However, adopting AI also comes with its own set of challenges, from ethical considerations to practical implementation hurdles. This session will explore the broader role of AI and technology in nonprofit work, providing insights and prompting discussion on how organizations can adapt and thrive in a digital world. The event is free and open to all.

About the Panelists
Joshua Peskay is 3CPO (CIO, CISO & CPO) at RoundTable Technology. Joshua has spent over three decades helping nonprofit organizations make better use of technology in support of their missions. In addition to leading RoundTable’s security team and providing vCIO/vCISO services to nonprofits, Joshua works regularly with at-risk organizations in the human rights, civil rights and climate change sectors to help address digital security challenges and is a nationally recognized leader in helping improve cybersecurity and AI for the nonprofit sector.
Joshua is a dynamic and engaging public speaker and teacher, teaching a broad range of topics within the nonprofit technology landscape. Joshua has been an Expert Trainer for Idealware, faculty for the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN), taught Cybersecurity for Nonprofits and Mission Driven Businesses at Civic Hall in NYC, partnered with Whole Whale on a Cybersecurity course for their online learning platform Whole Whale University, and teaches 300 level courses on cybersecurity, technology strategy, project management and Artificial Intelligence for the global nonprofit technology platform, Techsoup.
John Clark (he/him) is the Program Coordinator for MANP. He strives to ensure all attendees at MANP events have a valuable experience where they feel connected, included, and are provided the space to have the most transformative learning experience possible. Through his work coordinating logistics for events, he has developed a passion for automating and optimizing processes to grow impact exponentially, and has become MANP’s de facto guru on automation and AI implementation.
Beyond his role at MANP, John uses his background in outdoor recreation and roles on numerous local committees to advocate for transportation equity, inclusive outdoor spaces, and rental housing justice. He lives in Portland with his wife and two cats (Mango & Bingo), and can often be found out on a long run or bike ride.
