Mission The Maine Mineral and Gem Museum (MMGM) is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to collecting, preserving, researching and exhibiting the world?s largest display of outstanding gems, minerals, artifacts and archives to share the cultural and natural history of mining and gemstones in Maine. MMGM is open year-round for visits, research, educational programs, and regional mine tours for schoolchildren, families and adults.
