Organization Overview
The mission of Literacy Volunteers of Kennebec is to improve reading, writing and other literacy skills so each individual may reach their potential, and to promote and advocate for literacy for families and the community. Trained tutors develop lessons with each student to meet that person's unique needs and goals for increased proficiency in the speaking, listening, reading and writing of English. LVK is the Kennebec County Program Partner for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library ensuring free books to all children 0-5 in Kennebec County.
