Member Calls

Newly launched in 2027, MANP's Member Calls bring together MANP nonprofit members for virtual gatherings to connect with peers, share knowledge, discuss challenges and successes, and build meaningful connections.

Audience

Member Calls are designed for Executive Directors of MANP nonprofit member organizations. To encourage conversations among peers with similar experiences, calls are organized into three groups based on organization size:

Small Organizations: Less than $250K
Medium Organizations: $250K to $2M
Large Organizations: $2M+

Organization size ranges are intended as guidelines. Members should use their best judgment to select the group they feel is the best fit for their organization and where they are most likely to find shared experiences and perspectives.

Format

Member Calls are informal, facilitated group discussions held via Zoom. Rather than featuring guest presenters or formal presentations, calls focus on peer-to-peer learning, shared experiences, and conversation. Sessions are not recorded to encourage open and candid discussion.

Participants are encouraged to come prepared with organizational updates, topics or questions for discussion, and a willingness to contribute and learn from peers. Being on camera is preferred but not required.

Each session will follow a guided agenda while leaving room for conversation to evolve based on participants' interests and needs.

Frequency + Registration

Each group meets quarterly for a one-hour virtual call. Calls are staggered throughout the year to create dedicated opportunities for each group to connect.

  • Small Organizations: January, April, July, October
  • Medium Organizations: February, May, August, November
  • Large Organizations: March, June, September, December

Head the MANP Member Calls events calendar to register for sessions.

Community Agreements

In order to foster productive, meaningful conversations where everyone feels able to show up as their authentic self and participate fullly, we have developed these community agreements to guide our sessions. Please keep them in mind during your participation.

Bring your real questions and ideas.

You don't need a polished answer. Ask the question, share the challenge, offer what you know, celebrate successes, and make connections.

Make space for others.

Share your perspective while making room for different voices, experiences, identities, and ways of participating. Be mindful of how our own identities, experiences, roles, and levels of power and privilege shape what we see and how we participate.

Name Impact. Examine Defensiveness.

Be willing to listen, reflect, and take responsibility for how your words or actions affect others. Intent and impact aren't always the same. If you feel defensive or frustrated, pause and reflect before responding.

Be Curious.

Ask questions to understand rather than assume. Be open to trying on ideas that are different from your own, even if you don't ultimately agree.

Connect.

Carry the connections you make today forward. Follow up with people after the call when a conversation sparks a connection or shared interest. Look for opportunities to build relationships with other members.

Keep the space member-focused and mutually beneficial.

These calls are for peer connection and learning. Do not use them to promote fee-based services or products, distribute RFPs, solicit business, seek employment, circulate petitions, or otherwise use the space primarily for promotional purposes.

Protect the conversation.

Member Calls are not recorded. Participants should not use note-takers, transcription or recording tools, meeting assistants, or AI tools to capture, summarize, transcribe, or otherwise process what is shared during a session. These tools will be removed from the meetings by the host.

Maintain Confidentiality: Share the Learning.

Treat what members share as belonging to the community. Share themes, ideas, and resources - not someone else's story, identifying details, or sensitive information - outside the community without permission.

MANP may share useful resources or information contributed by members in follow-up communications or on MANP's members-only resource pages as anonymized resources for other members. We will not attribute the resource to an individual member without permission.
