This is a two-part series hosted from 1:00-2:30pm ET on March 3 and 5.
For excel avoiders or newbies, this course grounds every nonprofit professional in the basics of using Microsoft Excel as a tool to improve your work. Over two sessions in one week, move from tentative to excited to use the basics of Excel. Moving at a slow pace, this course will provide opportunities for practice, questions, and clarifications.
By the end, you will be able to enter and clean data for your organization and calculate basic functions to analyze data at an introductory level. This might mean easily identifying total donation levels across years, sorting volunteers by hours, or calculating total clients served at a glance.

- The structure of an Excel Function
- Understanding Order of Operations
- Numeric Functions: SUM(), COUNT(), MIN(), MAX()
All session recordings and resources will be available to registrants for 6 months following the conclusion of the course.

About the Presenter
Adam Jespersen joined MNA in 2019 as its first Director of Innovation, and moved to Executive Director in 2024. As Executive Director, Adam is passionate about helping people, teams, and organizations across Montana find their stride in being more effective and impactful.
