Marigold Strategy

We are a boutique consulting firm working with nonprofits, foundations, companies, and other actors interested in building more diverse, equitable, inclusive, and resilient organizational cultures and structures. Marigold Strategy believes the core of any successful social venture or relationship is trust and open, honest communication. These are the building blocks we’ve formed our work around. We center relationship-building to address inequitable power dynamics and make space for dialogue, collaboration, and transparency among staff, board members, advisory members, community partners, and other stakeholders. As a consulting firm we regularly engage in and normalize conversations around power, privilege, and race and how they manifest within an organization.

Key services include:

Board Development. We apply an equity-lens to this traditional mode of operation and partner with boards to center purpose. This work can include assessment, board facilitation, recommendations, and coaching of staff and Board.

Strategic Planning. We partner with organizations to develop strategic plans and frameworks to grow, scale, and sustain impact in an increasingly adaptive and interdependent world.

Capacity Building & Organizational Development. We are deeply committed to diversity, equity and inclusion— it leads to happier employees, improved organizational culture, better services, and transformational change. We know building an anti-racist organization requires a multifaceted approach that touches all staff, departments, processes, and systems.

Strategic Advising. We offer strategic advising to EDs who could benefit from ongoing support that doesn’t neatly fit into scoped consulting work. We act as thought partners, provide resources and best practices, and conduct additional research or create deliverables for time strapped EDs. We serve as an ongoing member of your leadership team, working hands-on to move your organization forward.
