Session Details

Thursday, September 24 (1-2pm)
Presented by Linda Hunter, PHR, HR Advisor, Catapult

Join us for this practical, nonprofit-focused webinar designed for executive directors, operations leaders, office managers, finance professionals, and anyone who wears the “HR hat” without formal HR training. Drawing from common compliance challenges faced by small organizations, this session provides straightforward guidance, real-world examples, and actionable tools to help you manage HR responsibilities with greater confidence. The program focuses on building practical compliance habits, understanding which laws may apply to your organization, and recognizing when an issue requires additional attention or support. Areas of focus include wages administration, leave of absence management, anti-harassment strategy and other workplace policies.

Thursday, October 1 (1-2pm)
Presented by Angela Smith, Founder & CEO, Work Nouveau

Nonprofits navigate uncertainty every day. Budgets tighten, priorities shift, and teams get asked to do more with less. Through it all, culture is deciding who stays and who starts checking out. Here's the problem: most people think culture means perks. Free snacks, a nice mission statement, maybe a happy hour. It's none of that. Culture is what actually happens day to day - how leaders show up, what norms get reinforced (or ignored), and how people treat each other. This session is for executive directors, operations leaders, office managers, and anyone holding the people-and-culture bag (whether or not "HR" is in your title). We're getting right into what actually builds trust, psychological safety, and belonging. You'll leave with a way to diagnose where your culture really stands, and tools and habits you can start using immediately.

Thursday, October 8 (1-2pm)
Presented by Chelsea Williams, Founder & CEO, Reimagine Talent

42% of employee turnover is preventable (Gallup), yet inconsistent hiring, onboarding, communication, documentation, and performance practices continue to create confusion, frustration, and unnecessary risk for organizations. As nonprofits grow, people practices often evolve organically, resulting in inconsistent experiences for employees and managers. This interactive webinar explores how small nonprofits can create practical, repeatable HR practices that strengthen the employee experience, improve manager confidence, reduce organizational risk, and support sustainable growth, without requiring a large HR team. Participants will leave with practical tools they can implement immediately.
