Campaign Narratives of Abundance: Fundraising Rooted in Purpose, Power, and Possibility

Thursday, November 13, 2025
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (EST)

Event Details

This event is offered in partnership with the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN).

During times of uncertainty and urgency, it is tempting to fundraise using narratives of scarcity, fear, or desperation. This interactive workshop invites participants to reimagine messaging through a lens of abundance, possibility, and shared purpose. Together, we’ll explore how to shift from transactional to transformational storytelling – crafting narratives that reflect the richness of your community and the vision of your work. Participants will engage in exercises to surface compelling stories of collective resilience and generosity, and practice framing campaign language that inspires trust, alignment and joy in giving.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify and articulate the difference between scarcity-based and abundance-based fundraising narratives—and recognize the emotional and strategic impact of each.
  • Apply an abundance mindset to fundraising campaigns, donor communications, and case statements in ways that are authentic, inclusive, and inspiring.
  • Build confidence and creativity in developing messages that attract aligned supporters, deepen relationships, and reflect a hopeful, equity-centered vision.
