Organization Overview
The Gulf of Maine Research Institute (GMRI) is a neutral, strategic marine research and education institution, guided by a three-part mission: Convene the interested public to discuss, debate, and resolve aquatic resource conflicts; Facilitate and conduct collaborative research in the Gulf of Maine and its watershed; and Educate Maine residents and visitors about Maine's fresh and saltwater resources.
