Molly O'Connell

Molly O’Connell is the Assistant Director of Maine Association of Nonprofits (MANP), where she is proud to be part of a team working to empower people with purpose by strengthening the leadership, voice and organizational effectiveness of Maine’s vital nonprofit community. Molly's role includes guiding the collaborative development, implementation, and evaluation of annual staff workplans; overseeing the communications, technology, finance, and human resources functions of the organization; developing and facilitating capacity-building programming, services, and partnerships; leading the development of resources, research, and publications; and authoring the weekly e-newsletter.

Prior to her work at MANP, Molly spent a decade in the youth development field, including a year as an Americorps*VISTA volunteer. Molly serves on the Advisory Council of New Ventures Maine, listens to approximately 1 million podcasts, loves bread and cheese, and is the proud mama of two school aged children. She earned a B.A. in English from Wesleyan University and currently lives in South Portland with her family.
