Think for a moment about a great board member. Why were they great? How do you find more board members like them?
Successful organizations understand that nothing is more important to the health and sustainability of the organization than getting engaged, skilled, prepared people to serve on the board. These organizations recognize that building an effective board is much more than filling the seats at the table; finding board members who bring passion, innovation and resourcefulness to help their organization thrive requires the board to be strategic in the way it looks at composition.
Please join us to learn with and from one another about recruitment strategies that help you cultivate potential candidates, prepare them to join the board when the time is right, fill vacancies quickly and effectively, and build a skillful and diverse board.
Not only will you hear great advice about what to do (or not to do), you will leave with access to a toolkit designed to help leaders adopt proven strategies that can transform how you and your board think about recruitment and develop a process and timeline tailored to your organization—a process that can be used year after year.
Who Should Attend:
- Board leaders who recognize the need to put in place a board recruitment process that is built upon best practices.
- Board members who chair or engage in the recruitment process and seek a structure within which to work.
- Staff members supporting the recruitment process who seek tools that can support a successful recruitment effort.
