Funders and nonprofit leaders interested in learning about useful capacity building tools and services developed by Maine-based consultants are invited to attend the Capacity Builder’s Tool Box luncheon series.

September 21, Executive Director Roundtable:  How is leading changing?

Carol Carriuolo and Deb Burwell, partners in Paddling the Rapids, a Maine-based firm dedicated to inspiring courageous leadership, will engage participants in a dialogue on, “How is leading changing?”  They will share insights and strategies gleaned from working with executive directors in Paddling groups over the past eight years.  Participants will identify guiding principles leaders can use to navigate during rapidly changing times.

November 16, The Wisdom of Group Decisions

Craig Freshley, author, speaker, and facilitator of hundreds of meetings of Maine nonprofits, will share insights on many aspects of group decision making. Craig will lead a discussion on basic principles and practical tips for highly efficient meetings and high quality group decisions. Bring your questions and stories to add to the fun!

These discussions will run from 11:30-1 p.m., and will be held in Portland. Lunch will be provided, and the cost for attending is $20 for each session.
