Strive For Excellence
Strive for Excellence-Use MANP’s Guiding Principles & Practices for Nonprofit Excellence Tools and Resources
The Guiding Principles & Practices for Nonprofit Excellence in Maine program provides a planning and assessment framework for nonprofits that helps organizations make conscious assessments and determinations of what will best move the organization forward. The core document provides a broad range of standards and recommendations within eleven distinct management areas and the Basic Infrastructure Checklist serves as a desk-top reference for accountability, providing a framework of nonprofit legal requirements as well as recommended practices. These documents can be downloaded for free on the MANP website https://www.nonprofitmaine.org/pandp_printables.asp.
The Guiding Principles & Practices program also includes an assessment tool https://www.nonprofitmaine.org/pandp_assessment.asp to help organizations identify and target areas that need work, as well as online resources and case studies of effective local management practices. Members of MANP can take the individual self-assessment for free.
