Partnerships for Health & Human Services Convening Update

by Brenda Peluso

We’re thrilled with the response to our invitation to attend a one-day convening on Wednesday, September 22nd in Hallowell.  Over 100 individuals, representing a broad spectrum of nonprofit service providers, the funding community, state government and others, have registered to attend this event.  We hope this convening will mark the beginning of an intiative that will lead to stronger partnerships and a long term strategy for adapting our system of care for Maine’s most vulnerable populations.

The following documents have been posted for your information.  Participants need not print these as they will be provided at the event.

More information on this program can be found on our August 12th blog posting.

Thank you to the JTG Foundation for their generous support of this initiative.

Richard Farnsworth says:

This sounds like a very interestig start of an important conversation that needs to happen between legislators, State Department managers and members of the provider comunity. I would ask, at what point do we include some consumers in the process? They might have some valuable insights in the process.

Brenda Peluso says:

Absolutely! The room will include consumer advocates, but as we plan next steps, we need to ask who needs to be part of the process.
