Nonprofit Tech Gatherings in Portland

by Brenda Peluso

MANP has partnered with NTEN and Idealware to bring monthly 501 Tech Club gatherings to Portland.

What is a 501 Tech Club? Just a group of people who are interested in using technology to help the nonprofit sector.   The club gatherings offer a chance to network and discuss a topic chosen by the group.  Pats topics have included “Using Social Media to Recruit Volunteers”, “Effective Online Fundraising Strategies” and “Effective Electronic Newsletters”.

This month’s topic is “How do we make our tried and true offline strategies work (even better) with online strategies?” Featuring guest speakers Andrea Berry, Development Director of the Dyer Library/Saco Museum; and Eliza Ginn, Membership and Marketing Manager of the Maine Island Trail Association.

Join us for a lively and helpful discussion of these issues at our next Maine Nonprofit Tech Round Table!

  • 6-6:30: snacks and networking
  • 6:30-8:00 round-table discussion

Where is the club? The Maine group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the conference room of the MANP offices at 565 Congress Street in Portland.

How to stay in touch? Join the online discussion group by registering a profile at http://groups.nten.org and then subscribing to the Maine 501 Tech Club list!
