Free masks available for nonprofits
FEMA is distributing masks through the Southern Maine Community Organization Active in Disaster and the Maine Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster to be used by the staff and volunteers of nonprofit organizations in order to continue their work. They are not intended for client distribution.
About the masks:
- The masks are white, one size fits all and are embedded with silver and copper to prevent the growth of bacteria.
- They are washable up to fifteen times (the number of washings that the copper and silver will remain active, although they are usable after that).
How to request masks:
- Minimum request size – one box (500 masks). Feel free to partner with other nonprofits to share these!
- Delivery is not available, but organizations can schedule times and dates for pickup.
