In a poor economy, your nonprofit may be receiving more applications for every job you have open. But how do you figure who the best candidate is? Go beyond gut instinct and use a more analytical approach. (If you’re just relying on your gut, then you’re using the wrong part of your body, since your brain can do a better job!) This training will show you how to clarify your needs and priorities before you’ve even looked at a single resume. Then we’ll help you come up with meaningful interview questions that will help lead you to the best person for the job.

Risk management deals with the possibility that some event may cause harm. It is especially important for nonprofits to have human resources risk management practices in place in order to avoid an incident which could lead to difficulties in finding support, volunteers and/or clients. We will address developing consistency in employment human resource practices, including fully training and evaluating your staff and volunteers.
*All SkillBuilders are $50 each for members or $100 each for non-members. If you choose a morning session and an afternoon session members pay only $80 for the day and non-members pay $160.
