Maine Association of Nonprofits, but we are participating
in the survey and are very interested in the results. Can
we join MANP to get the report for free?

this report, in the Fall of 2010, and if you have met the participation requirements,
you will receive the report free of charge.

- A new partner, University of New Hampshire Survey Center, has joined MANP, the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits, and Executive Service Corps adding state of the art surveying software and analysis.
- Two new job categories, Direct Care Worker (DSP/PSP) and Certified Nurses Aid. This brings the number of categories surveyed up to 30.
- Several new questions aimed at collecting more data on the Executive Director position including: education level, gender, additional compensation beyond wages.
- How will I know if you have
received my survey in time?
Please be sure to include your e-mail address so we can send
you a confirmation acknowledging the receipt of your completed
survey.
- I'm a techno-phobe. Do I have to fill out the survey online?
We prefer this method as we have found the data to generally be more complete and accurate when folks complete the questionnaire online, but we understand and sympathize! Please contact Brenda Peluso at 871-1885 and request that a paper copy be sent to you.
- How confidential
is this data when we are asked to include our organization
name and contact information?
Contact information will be kept separate from sensitive data.
We ask for your contact information to ensure your participation
discount. The MANP Project Coordinator may also use this information
to contact you should analysts need clarification on your
responses.
- Many of our staff fall into
a category that does not fit any of the job descriptions.
Although I understand that I should not complete information
on these employees, I feel that my and other organizations
would benefit greatly from the sharing of this information.
What should we do?
In deciding which job descriptions to include, we
were cognizant that not all job statistics would be collected.
Part of the job of this questionnaire is not only to determine
nonprofit remuneration, but also to determine where the jobs
lie.
If you would like us to consider adding a job description,
please forward a copy of that description, along with the
corresponding wage statistics to Brenda
Peluso. If we receive enough entries for a particular
job category, we will include the data in this year's report
and also add it to the questionnaire for the next report.
- I am the only employee in
our one-person shop. Since I wear many hats, how should
I report my salary?
One person shops usually have an executive director, a coordinator,
or an administrative assistant level employee. Please pick
the job description and qualification level that best fits
your situation. The organization's budget size will identify
the one-person-shop multi-taskers.
- I am having trouble navigating the Online Survey,
how do I go back to a previous page?
Your browser's back & forward buttons won't work to navigate
through the survey. You'll have to use the buttons at
the bottom of each survey page.
