This state of the art website, a project of the
Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership in Michigan, offers a wide range of resources for volunteer engagement including case studies in best practices and resources on effectively managing, training, recruiting, recognizing, and rewarding volunteers.

The site is home to a statewide volunteer database a tool for tracking volunteer hours, another for creating listservs, and many resources for volunteer management in Maine.
The Congress of Volunteer Administrator Associations (COVAA)
The Association for Volunteer Administration disbanded in April 2006, leaving former members and others in the volunteer field without the support that group had traditionally provided. An effort to bring together existing local, regional, state, and national organizations of volunteerism leaders formerly affiliated with AVA, to create a new national organization has begun.
