What Does Governance Have To Do With Marketing your Nonprofit?
Marketing isn’t the Board’s job – the Board should just delegate it to paid professionals, right? Wrong! Boards play a critical role in enhancing the effectiveness of valuable marketing professionals when they ensure that their nonprofit’s message is clear, real and reinforced daily in work and governance. Boards also strengthen organizations when they re-frame marketing in terms of “mission,” “community” and “communication,” especially if the nonprofit is “the best kept secret in town.” This half-day SkillBuilder will look at specific examples of the real-life relationship between governance and marketing.
Please note: if you're signing up for a full-day, you'll need to call and register over the phone (871-1885) in order to receive the discount.
This SkillBuilder will include:- Getting the Board ready to advocate for your mission
- Assessment tools for your board
- Elements that foster flexibility, action-readiness and real-life examples
