Governance & Leadership: Accountability

  1. Board members (who are not employees) should receive no monetary compensation from the organization.

  2. Board meetings should be held at least on a quarterly basis, meeting minutes should be recorded, and regular attendance should be expected.

  3. All board members should understand and sign a Conflict of Interest statement, which should be updated on an annual basis to reflect any new affiliations and potential points of conflict.
