An increasing number of organizations in Maine and around the world are choosing to join forces with each other and to work as networks, coalitions and alliances to tackle problems and opportunities collaboratively.
Within this movement is a growing awareness that the social problems we are seeking to solve are much larger than one organization can address by working alone.
To support and foster these networks for social change, MANP has formed a partnership with Maine Network Partners, formed by Maine residents Warren Cook and Bo Norris to promote greater understanding of how the implementation of collaborative strategies can leverage greater mission impact and improve delivery of services in the state.
Through its partnership with Maine Network Partners, MANP will:
- provide trainings to nonprofit organizations working in networks;
- raise awareness of existing networks;
- increase knowledge about new technologies that can support networks; and
- work in partnership with other Maine ‘field building’ organizations, including Common Good Ventures, Institute for Civic Leadership, Maine Development Foundation, the Maine Community Foundation, as well as consultants to the nonprofit sector to support these collaborations.
All the latest on networks for social change in and outside of Maine can be found on the Maine Network Partners' blog
