Where + when are MANP trainings held?
MANP schedules training programs throughout the year and in a wide range of locations across the state. Scheduled events can be found in our online events calendar.
How do I register for trainings?
You choose! Whichever option works best for you. You can register:
- Online via the registration links in our event listings. You will have the option to pay by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or mail a check.
- By email: Learn@NonprofitMaine.org. Please include the session title, date, and location in addition to the participant name, email, and phone number.
- By phone: Call us at 207-871-1885 to register and make payment.
Can I register other people for a training?
You can only register yourself through the MANP online portal. However, many MANP events have a link to a survey where you can enter registration information for multiple people affiliated with your organization. You can also call us at 207-871-1885 or email Learn@NonprofitMaine.org to register other people.
What happens if I have to cancel my registration?
Things come up, for sure. In order to receive a full refund for a MANP event, you’ll need to contact us no fewer than ten business days prior to the scheduled event by calling our office at 207-871-1885 or by emailing Learn@NonprofitMaine.org. Substitutes for registered attendees are welcome and encouraged! Confirmed, unpaid registrants who do not attend or provide the required notice of cancellation will be invoiced, and a $10 invoicing fee may be applied to all registrations not paid in full by the date of the event.
What happens if MANP has to cancel a training?
We will contact you by email if we cancel a training. If you have paid for the training, you will have the option of a refund or a credit. If we have not heard from you within one week of our cancellation notice, we will automatically issue a credit memo for a future training.
It’s snowing/sleeting/flooding! What do I do about the training?
In the event of inclement weather, please call the MANP office at 207-871-1885 to find out if an event has been cancelled. We will update the voicemail message by 6:30am on the morning of the event. If we do not cancel an event and you are uncomfortable making the drive, you may notify us by phone message or email at Learn@NonprofitMaine.org and a credit will be issued for a future session.
The training I registered for is weeks away. Will I receive a reminder closer to the event?
A confirmation email with directions is sent 2-3 days before the training. When submitting your registration, please include your email address and phone number. If you do not have an email address, please specify how you would like to receive your confirmation.
If you have not received confirmation two days before the session, please call our office at 207-871-1885 or email us at Learn@NonprofitMaine.org.
Who should I be in touch with about accommodation requirements for an event?
MANP works to ensure that events are accessible to all. If you require accommodations, please contact us as soon as possible and a minimum of two weeks prior to the event at Learn@NonprofitMaine.org or by calling our office at 207-871-1885.
Does MANP offer any scholarships to attend trainings?
Thanks to the generosity of our Scholarship Fund partners, we are able to offer scholarships to MANP members in need of support to attend workshops, webinars, and conferences. If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please read and fill out this application.
