MANP Members Receive 10% Discount on University of Maine Hutchinson Center Nonprofit Classes

Thanks to a new partnership with the University of Maine-Hutchinson HutchinsonCenter, MANP members can complete a certificate in nonprofit management through the Belfast-based Center, and receive a 10% discount on all classes while doing so.

The University of Maine-Hutchinson Center has designed the certificate program on nonprofit management for nonprofit organization executives, staff members, and leaders to deal with contemporary issues and problems using realistic, “hands on” strategies.  The various workshops encourage interactive discussion of “real world” situations and actively engage participants in quality planning, effective program/service development, creative problem solving, and issue resolution.

The nonprofit workshops are designed for those involved in a variety of organizational roles, including executive directors, board/trustee members, business managers, development officers, program officers, and those holding similar positions.  Those not currently engaged in nonprofit organizational roles—but seeking to move into these career areas—will also gain a great deal from participation in these workshops.

The typical session will be one day in length. The grant writing workshop is two days. Sessions run from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.  Each workshop will be held at the University of Maine Hutchinson Center in Belfast.  Experienced and knowledgeable faculty members have been chosen to present each workshop.

Upon completion of six of the seven workshops that comprise the program, individuals will earn a certificate in Nonprofit Organization Management from the University of Maine Hutchinson Center. Register for any one workshop or for the series. Each workshop fee will include continental breakfast, lunch and all workshop materials. For more information call 1-800-753-9044 or 338-8000.
