New Programs for the New Year: MANP Assumes Emerging Leaders + Springboard

by Jennifer Hutchins

Happy New Year! We’ve exciting news to share! In 2018, MANP will adopt two programs from Lift360–Emerging Leaders and Springboard–as that organization winds down operations early this year. The Leadership Intensive will be transferred to the Maine Development Foundation. All the details can be found in today’s news release.

We are honored to assume stewardship of these successful programs and to focus our energies on increasing their impact on Maine’s nonprofits. We are now recruiting for the Fall 2018 class of Emerging Leaders. Emerging Leaders prepares young people to serve as nonprofit board members, committee members, and/or volunteers. And, without missing a beat, we will host the next Springboard in March, continuing to provide nonprofits with fresh perspectives and input from highly qualified professionals in response to key challenges.

We are grateful to Lift360 for trusting us with their legacy and for their impeccable professionalism and thoughtfulness throughout the transition. We look forward to working with Maine Development Foundation to contribute to high-quality leadership programming in Maine. It’s a great pleasure to work with people who care deeply about this state and who are committed to the hard work of collaborating to benefit the greater good.

If you have questions about the transition or programs, please don’t hesitate to call us at 207-871-1885 or email me directly. If anyone would like to talk with someone in person, Lift360, MDF and MANP are hosting for our members and networks two “Open Doors” in the Portland region at which we will be happy to answer questions:

  • January 10, 7:30am – 9:00am
Maine Cancer Foundation, 170 US Route One, Suite 250, Falmouth
  • January 10, 4:00pm – 5:30pm
Portland Public Library, 5 Monument Way, Lower Level (Room #1), Portland

Please join us on January 31 for a joint celebration breakfast, “A Vision for the Future of Leadership in Maine.” Executives at all three organizations will talk about the current state of leadership development in Maine and their collaborative vision of how these different programs will continue to support and enhance leaders across the state in the future.

Wednesday, January 31,  7:30-9:00am

I hope you will join me in thanking Lift360 and MDF for their leadership and partnership, and helping MANP continue to pursue effective ways to strengthen Maine’s nonprofits!
