Personalized Nonprofit Management Assistance and Consultant Referral Program

MANP offers personal help when our members just want to ask a question or get a referral to an experienced nonprofit support consultant or firm.

 

MANP Technical Assistance

MANP has experienced staff available to answer your nonprofit related questions or to refer you to appropriate resources. Some inquiries can be answered right away, others will require research. All inquiries will be responded to within a week.

Pro Bono Legal Advice - New Member Benefit!

Through a new agreement with The Law Office of Rob Levin, MANP can now offer its members a limited amount of free legal advice on topics delineated below. As the amount of donated pro bono time is limited, this service will be available only to active MANP members and be provided on a first come, first served basis for telephone consultations of under 30 minutes in duration.  Rob will focus primarily on the nonprofit-specific subject matters, as detailed below, and may decline to offer any legal advice if the subject matter is outside his area of expertise.

Topics appropriate for referral include: 

  • Governance issues (bylaws, voting, decision making, conflicts of interest, etc.)
  • Charitable registration and solicitation laws
  • 501(c)(3) Regulations (lobbying, private inurement, etc.)
  • Tax Issues (federal, state, or property tax)
  • Startup questions (what forms do we need to file and with whom)
  • Charitable giving
  • Fiscal sponsorship

All referrals MUST come through MANP, and this service is only available to MANP members in good standing. Please contact Lizzy Reinholt by email or 871-1885 for further information or a referral.

Nonprofit Risk Management Center Technical Assistance

The Nonprofit Risk Management Center is a wonderful resource for nonprofits. MANP is proud to be a Satellite Office. Consultant Referral Program

MANP works closely with a network of trainers and consultants with general and specific expertise in all areas of nonprofit management and organization development. If your organization needs assistance beyond MANP’s technical assistance program, our staff will refer you to consultants who can help you with your organizational challenges and opportunities – be they in the areas of fundraising, marketing, strategic planning, human resources, leadership and board governance.
