It is the sponsor of the recently-released Brookings Report " Charting Maine's Future" , an ambitious study and action plan that is helping to reshape the political debate in Maine . Brookings' believes that Maine is poised for an era of prosperity, if we take bold action now to invest in what matters. Those investments include protecting Maine 's quality of place, which is our calling card in the modern world, and nurturing our fledging innovation jobs sector.

Growsmart Maine has a multi-year-plan to see that Brookings' advice is translated into state policy and is organizing citizens and coalitions around the state. In its three-year existence, GrowSmart has sponsored annual summits, a model town project and the Brookings report.
