CGV logoCommon Good Ventures provides business expertise to nonprofit clients to increase their capacity to deliver essential services to their clients and contribute to Maine’s economy.

CGV’s professional staff brings proven management practices and meetinginnovative thinking to nonprofits having excellent programs and the potential for major impact.  We deliver our service across three areas

First, we engage in long-term partnerships with individual nonprofit clients custom-designed to nurture the ability of an organization or network to reach its potential for impact in a way that is sustainable over time.

Second, we engage in long term partnerships with networks and collaborations. CGV staff work directly with multiple nonprofits at once to facilitate knowledge sharing, programmatic collaboration and operations efficiencies.

meetingThird, Common Good Ventures attracts entrepreneurial members of the business community who are looking for tangible ways to give back to their communities and share their professional expertise. These volunteers participate in our Business Advisor and Springboard programs.  Our volunteer business advisors lend their expertise to help a nonprofit to solve specific business challenges.  Our Springboard volunteers participate in bi-monthly brainstorming sessions in which nonprofits present a critical strategic question for springboard panelists to brainstorm and submit ideas.

meetingCommon Good Ventures was founded in 1998 as part of MCF and became an independent nonprofit in 2000.
